Two tools, one goal

Coaching or mentoring? It depends on your situation

I work in both roles - as an accredited ICF coach and as a mentor with 20 years of management experience. Which approach we use (or both, at different stages of our work) depends on what you actually need, not on my preference.

Coaching

When you already have the knowledge, but not the decision

The situation is new to you, there's no single right answer, and what's missing isn't information but space - to reach your own conclusion and take ownership of the decision. Here I work with questions - I don't suggest ready-made solutions.

Mentoring

When you need a proven path

The situation already has known, tested solutions - e.g. how to build a management process, how to step into a new board role, how to set up a team-development programme. Here I share my own experience from 20 years in executive roles directly.

Honestly, about the limits

What mentoring with me won't do

I won't make the decision for you, and I won't take responsibility for it - this isn't consulting or interim management. I don't pretend to be an expert in industries I don't know; if your problem is highly specialized, I'll say so and point you elsewhere.

Executive coaching

For business owners and C-level executives

Executive coaching is a dedicated process for top-level leaders - directors, board members, senior executives. Its goal isn't just improved personal effectiveness, but above all leadership development and greater organizational effectiveness. Before I started working as an outside coach, I - as a manager - built and rolled out coaching programmes and processes inside the organizations I worked for.

Before we begin working together, we jointly define the strategic goals of the coaching, which become the compass for every session. The process often runs within the so-called "business triangle": the coaching sponsor (organization, manager), the client (the leader doing the development work), and the coach. This keeps goals aligned with the leader's individual development while staying measurable for the business.

Example application

A director takes on a new role on the board of a large company. They need to build authority quickly, make sound strategic decisions, and manage change in a fast-moving environment. Together, in the process, we:

  • define strategic goals tied to their role and the organization's expectations,
  • analyse their leadership style and its impact on company culture,
  • refine communication at board and team level,
  • develop their ability to make decisions under uncertainty,
  • build mental resilience in the face of the pressure of responsibility.

The result isn't just greater confidence and wellbeing for the leader, but above all concrete, measurable results for the business - more effective strategy execution, better team management, or a faster response to changing market conditions.

Let's talk about your role

For managers and specialists

Business coaching for management teams

One of the core areas of my work as a coach is business coaching for people in leadership and management roles - though not only them. The rising pace of working life takes its toll on wellbeing and on managing responsibilities. Mood and motivation drop, and chronic stress starts to feel overwhelming. The support of a business coach, which I offer to people from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot and the wider Tricity - as well as online, internationally - takes all of this into account, with the working plan tailored to your individual needs.

Workplace problems aren't caused only by excess workload or stress. Sometimes it's positive circumstances that turn out to be difficult - a promotion, a move to a more attractive role, a promising project. These can bring satisfaction, but also a sense of being overwhelmed or uncertain. As a business coach, I help in these situations too.

Scope of support

I run this coaching in line with ICF standards, which in practice means I don't advise or hand you ready-made solutions. I work with questions that help you reach your own conclusions, see what you've been missing, and take full ownership of the decision you choose. For someone facing chronic time pressure, high stress and declining decision quality, coaching usually focuses on three areas:

We start with a conversation in which we jointly name what's actually behind the overload - with no ready-made diagnosis from me. Later sessions bring questions that build mental resilience, the ability to decompress quickly, and clarity in decision-making - always leading to conclusions you work out yourself, not to solutions I hand you.

Looking for a ready-made solution drawn from my management experience, rather than questions? That's the mentoring side, not coaching - see the difference above.
